The MiKTeX DVD-R contains both a "live" MiKTeX system and a snapshot of the MiKTeX package repository. You can use the DVD-R to run MiKTeX directly from the DVD-R. Alternatively, you can install MiKTeX on your computer.

The CD-R is currently not available.
