Creating a Program Execution Trace
MiKTeX programs log their actions into the DebugView window, if you specify suitable
trace options.
To install DebugView on your computer, visit the
DebugView page and follow the download/installation instructions.
To create a program execution trace:
- Set the environment variable MIKTEX_TRACE. Its value must be a comma-separated
list of trace stream names (see the section
Trace Streams in the MiKTeX manual).

Start DebugView.

Start the MiKTeX program.
